This instructable shows you how to make an animation of ball bouncing up and down. This animation is easy for beginners who want to learn to do animation.

Supplies

For this I will be using Flipaclip, I assume that most of the animation softwares work the same, though this may not be true.

Making the Project

First, you’ll have to make a new project on your flipaclip account. Make sure that the background is white and the frames are at 12 frames per second. Then, hit “create project.”

Drawing Your Circle

The first image is what you’ll see after you hit “create project”. From there, draw your circle. It does not matter what size you make it, though keep in mind that you will have to stretch it out as you progress. I will do mine in a smaller size.

Adding a New Page

Next, add a page by hitting the button at the bottom of your screen with the plus button.

Drawing the Second Circle

Now on this page, you’ll raise the circle off of the bottom of the page a little bit and make it more stretched out. Then, add a new page

Repeat Steps 3 and 4

Repeat the steps and keep stretching out the circle on each page till you reach the top.

Going Back Down

Now, you will repeat these steps going down until you are almost at the bottom because we will do something different there. The last image is where I will stop before the next step.

Last Step!

Once you are at your stopping point, start squishing the ball downward and make it flat. Then you’ll be able to hit the play button in the bottom right corner.

Finishing Your Animation

Now you have created your own ball jumping animation! If you would like, you can touch up the animation a bit. If you would like, you could also add a background or color in the ball. Remember: it does not have to be perfect. You can make yours completely unique!
