How to Make the Coolest Paper Airplane Ever™

In this instructable, I am going to show you how to make the coolest paper airplane ever™ and launch it to the heavens.

Supplies

For this, you will need a single piece of paper and two small strips of tape.

For the first step, we will fold our piece of paper vertically in the center as shown in the attached image.

For step 2, we will want to pick one end of the paper to be our front. Once that is decided, fold one of the edges at a 45-degree angle, making sure to line it up with the edges.

For step 3, we will be mirroring step 2, on the same side as the previous step's fold, fold the parallel side to mirror the fold in step 2.

Step 4, along the same side as step 3, fold the entirety of the paper so that the edge of the new fold is parallel to the centerline of the side of the page being folded.

Step 5, mirror the previous fold, making sure they are very similar so that the plane flies straight. This fold will be on the opposite side of the previous fold.

Step 6: Straighten the previous fold and use it as a guide; the previous fold should line up with the edge of the plane towards the plane's point. Fold parallel and let straighten out at a 90-degree angle for the fold in this step and the previous.

Step 7: mirror step 6, ensuring that both sides look the same or at least similar.

Step 8: This step can be skipped if you do not have tape howeve,r it is recommended to improve the aerodynamics of the plane. First, you will tape the top of the snout of the plane or the pointed front section, and secondly, you will tape the bottom of the plane where there is 4 layers of paper, this is ensuring fold 2 and 3 stay flat.

You have now completed your airplane; now you must find an elevated place to launch your airplane, a few examples I recommend are Mt Everest, at cruising altitude of a Boeing 747, or out the airlock of the International Space Station.

Once you have reached your elevated location, plane in hand, give it a gentle throw in your desired direction and watch it soar to the heavens.
