I often get asked how to use our wool locks for doll hair, and this instructable will teach you how to prepare our locks for use in rerooting, or weft and wig making

Supplies

Wool locks, a slicker brush or a fine tooth comb

Untie the Bunch

Untie the bunch of locks and lay each one flat

Wet Each Lock

WET EACH LOCK WITH WATER

YOU NEED EACH LOCK TO BE WET THROUGH, THEN PAT DRY - THEY NEED TO BE DAMP FOR NEXT STEP

Begin Brushing or Combing From the Bottom

Start brushing or combing from the bottom of the lock

do not brush or comb from the top

Complete Brushing Each Lock

When you are half way up the lock

begin brushing from the top down

do this for each lock

Always start at the bottom (the tip) and move to the top when the bottom is brushed out

Lay All Locks Flat

Do this process on each lock until you have brushed out the whole bunch

lay flat to dry - this step is essential as wool ‘sets’ in the position it dries

Your Locks Are Ready to Use!
