Drill the Bottle Caps
First, take two plastic bottle caps. Using a drill machine, make a hole in the center of each cap. The hole should be just large enough for a medium-sized bolt to pass through.
Prepare the Sandpaper
Measure the inside diameter of a bottle cap and cut two circular pieces of sandpaper to the same size. Place one piece inside each bottle cap and fix it securely with glue.
Assemble the Sharpening Tool
Insert the nut and bolt through both bottle caps so that the sandpaper sides face each other. Tighten the nut firmly to keep both caps in position.
Install the Tool in the Drill
Fix the bolt into the drill chuck and tighten it securely. Your homemade manual knife sharpener is now ready to use.
Sharpen the Knife
Turn on the drill and carefully place the knife blade into the small gap between the two sandpaper-covered bottle caps. As the drill rotates, the knife will sharpen automatically. This method helps sharpen dull knife fast and produces a razor sharp edge.
Check the Final Result
After sharpening, inspect the knife. You can clearly see that the blade has been sharpened successfully and is ready to use.
