How to Transfer Spotify Songs to a Traditional MP3 Player

In this project, I will show you how to transfer Spotify music to a traditional MP3 player.

On MP3 players that support apps, listening to Spotify is very simple—you just download the Spotify app, log in to your account, and you can enjoy your music right away.

However, with older, traditional MP3 players, you may find it confusing to figure out how to get Spotify music onto the device. That’s exactly why I wrote this article—to help you solve that problem and enjoy your music on a traditional MP3 player, so you can find your own moment of peace again.

Supplies

A Windows or Mac computer connected to the internet.
A USB cable to connect your MP3 player to the computer.
A desktop tool for converting Spotify music to MP3—Mediaio Audio Converter.

Run Mediaio on Your Computer

Go to the official website of Mediaio Audio Converter, download the installation package that matches your computer’s operating system, then double-click it and follow the on-screen instructions to install it on your computer.

Access Spotify

Select Spotify on the main interface of Mediaio.

Login Spotify

Click Login in the top-right corner and then sign in to Spotify with your Free or Premium account.

Choose Favorite Songs to Convert

Find the playlist or album you want and click the + button or the Add to conversion list button to add them to the download list(on the right side of the pane).

If you want a single track, you can hover your mouse over the song and then select Add to the conversion list.

Set Up the Configuration and Start Converting

The songs you add will appear in the download list on the right. Click Convert All. Here, you can set the output format to MP3, the audio quality to 320kbps and the output location to wanted folder.

Click Convert to start converting the songs.

Move Spotify Songs to Your MP3 Player

Connect your MP3 player to your computer using a USB cable and open the storage folder on your MP3 player.

Open the folder where your converted Spotify songs are saved.

Finally, drag and drop the Spotify music files into your MP3 player’s folder.

Listen to Spotify on Your MP3 Player

Safely disconnect the MP3 player from your computer. Now you can enjoy Spotify music offline on your MP3 player!
