Hi
In this simple instructable I am going to show you how to not leave marks on wood when using a vice. Have you ever been working on a fragile piece of wood and held it down with a vice and then removed and noticed vice marks on it. Well I am going to show you how to prevent this from happening.

Materials/Tools

Materials/Tools
1. Vice
2. Towel/ Shop Rag- anything that will fit in your vice.
3. Nice piece of wood or any material that you don't want to get marked up.

Now simply drape the towel over the vice and use it like you would normally. Alternatively you could zip tie 2 towel to each side of the vice for more permanent use.
