I have doors in my house that have a tendency to slam shut when I have my outside door open. To stop that happening you need a door stop. Rather than buying a door stop or wedge, you can pick up a rock from a beach or river, and enhance it with iridescent medium. Turn an ordinary rock into a lovely light reflecting shiny rock to grace any home.

To get a good door stop you ned to choose the right rock. It's great fun wandering along the beach looking for rocks with the right criteria.
Firstly you need a rock with a flat bottom, and then preferably you need an almost right angle flattish side. Flat bottom on floor, flat side against door. You also need it to be a decent size / weight. Remember it has to hold your door open.
See the photos of the rock I picked up from a beach near me.
Stick on the Felt Dots

Stick four felt dots onto the bottom of your rock. This will stop it scraping on the floor if you have a hard floor.
Mix Some Iridescent Medium

Mix some iridescent medium with water. I used roughly 3 times water to iridescent medium.
I picked up iridescent medium in my local craft shop, and have used it for lots of projects. It's great for adding some shininess and bling.
Paint the Rock

Paint the rock with iridescent medium.
You can get different effects depending on the kind of brush you use and how you paint.
I've used a course brush, so you can see the brush marks. I painted in stripes first, then went over the top with wavy lines.
Let it dry!
Use and Admire

Now your iridescent rock is ready to use. Prop open a door with it and admire when the light glints off it.
And an additional benefit - the iridescent medium is waterproof so you can use outside too!
