Jumping Bunny Automata

This is one of my school projects and we had to publish it on instructables. I hope you like it.

Sticky tape,

pop sticks,

cardboard,

any small toy,

coloured paper and hot glue,

some kind of bottle cap or cup thing.

Get a box that you think will be good enough for this project.

Get any coloured paper and decorate the box by stick the paper on with any pattern. This is what I did.

Poke holes on the sides of the box for the pop sticks to go through.

Stick four pop sticks together.

Cut 3 or 4 pieces of cardboard into this shape to make a cam, stick them together and poke a hole through them.

Put the pop sticks through the holes in the box and put the popsticks through the cam.

Put another stick on the cam and poke a hole in the box where you want your small toy to go.

Hot glue the stick to the small toy. Then you can start decorating the surroundings of the small toy.

When you rotate the pop stick axle, the cam moves, making the toy jump up and down. Enjoy your simple machine!
