Bullpup K'NEX Gun: Quarrel (R6)
For the longest time, Bullpup rifles have been a "passion" of mine. From their inherently long barrels, magazine setup, and grip positions, Bullpups are guns awesome. Sadly, many of the advantages (if not all) of real Bullpups are wasted on K'NEX guns (TheRacker talks about this here: https://www.instructables.com/community/Why-Knex-bullpups-are-mostly-useless-and-a-stupi/) All the same, Bullpup guns are fun to mess around with, fun to build, fun to shoot. What more could you ask for?
My original Quarrel (nick-named "Vengeance"), loaded the magazine in the top of the gun, and had room behind the grip for an extra magazine. This version does not load the mag into the top of the receiver, nor does it have a space for an extra magazine behind the grip - because that is where your primary (loaded) magazine will go.
Features:
- Bullpup mech, based off of the Reliable
- Comfortable grip
- SUPER sturdy
- Great pin-pull
- Nice sights
- Good range: at a "flat angle" 40 - 50 ft., at a 45 degree angle 70 - 80 ft.
- Easy configuration (you could remove the stock entirely and make it a SMG/carbine)
While a Bullpup setup is nice for slingshot guns, it is rather useless for a "simple pin" gun, and the amount of pieces and the length of the gun overall defeats the purpose of a K'NEX gun.
Video and internals will be up soon!
Enjoy, and tell me what you think!
