@Joe_Tutorials

https://www.instructables.com/How-to-Fold-an-Origami-F-16-Plane/

has made an IMPECCABLE paper plane and I love it

I used these to teach my siblings the basics of flight , as it a subject really near and dear to me.

so I'm going to teach you the basics of flight , so YOU can know them and teach them to others.

Supplies

all u need is paper , patience and love and curiosity(especially if u teaching this to others)

Making the Plane

I could make a tutorial but joe,s is reaalllllyy good .

so

https://www.instructables.com/How-to-Fold-an-Origami-F-16-Plane/

great tutorial

so go make the video like the article and follow joe and comeback here

The Basic Forces

cropped-tgfrdeswaq.png

So there are 4 basic forces

Lift

Drag

Thrust

Gravity

Lift : this is the upwards force that keeps the plane in the air , and the wings and elevator(I,ll explain what that is in a minute ) are what creates lift .

Drag: this is the counter active force to thrust and its caused by friction . drag is a short name for air friction which goes against thrust

Thrust : the force given by the engines and in this case you're hand throwing the plane . thrust is the forward pushing force which counter acts drag

Gravity : gravity is the counter force to lift , and well its gravity

Basic Aircraft Controls

Throttle: this controls the speed of the engine thus the speed of the aircraft

Elevator: Controls pitch (nose up/down). this makes the plane pitch up or down and is the reason we can control it to go up and down .

Rudder: Controls yaw (nose left/right). it controls the direction the plane moves

Ailerons: Control roll (banking left/right). this makes the plane roll and is also used for turning

How Wings Work

hgb.jpeg

so wings have certain shapes, this shape is called an aerofoil , this odd shape is what produces lift,

what it does is:

half the air goes over the top and the bulge accelerates the air because the air sticks to it (due to adhesion) and gets fliged due to it being curved , due to the air being faster at the top the pressure at the top decreases( supported by bernoulli,s principle) and because the bottom of wing thus comparatively has more pressure on the bottom which creates lift and thus the plane takes off

Hwo to See These

so to see these forces in action u can just bend the elevators , rudders and ailerons on the plane and the force you throw it with and u will see the magic of FLIGHTTT!!!

Know U Know How a Plane Flies

yippppppppeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

and u can make a cool plane
