Now is a good time to check and make sure you have everything, you should have at minimum a CPU, Motherboard, RAM, and an internal mass storage device.

Install CPU

Make sure the triangle on the CPU lines up with the socket, you should feel little or no resistance. Otherwise gently try a different position.

Install RAM

The notches must align since RAM only goes in one way. You may need to press firmly since RAM slots generally fit tightly, in fact if you have a loose fit you may want to check for damage or invalid parts.

Add Thermal Paste
