Making Your Own Treasure Map

Making your own treasure map is a fun thing that anybody can do. It is really fun and easy, and I hope you enjoy making one yourself today.

Supplies

Paper, pen, coloring supplies(if you want to decorate), uncooked rice(or any other grain), and (coffee if you want to give it the old and crinkly feeling to it)

Optional: Give It the Old Feeling

If you want to give it the old and crinkly feeling, soak your piece of paper into the coffee and dry it. You can start drawing on it once it is COMPLETELY dry, meaning that it won't bend when you pick it up. (I didn't do it in this version)

Making the Land

To make the island or land, pour the rice on top of your piece of paper. Once you do that, pick up your pen and trace around the rice. You can get every single piece of rice, but I didn't. Pour the rice into the trash can once you are done tracing.

Optional: Add Decorations

Now that you are done with the land part, you can add all kinds of decorations. You can add waves, a title, a border, "x", animals in the water, a compass, etc.

Done

Now you are done. This is a fun and easy thing to make when you are bored or need a break. Each one can be different and unique in extremely different ways. I hope you had fun!
