Making a Very Simple Flashlight Using a Battery Pack and a LED

3V Flashlight.png

When I was just looking at my components, I had some extra battery packs for my micro:bit. I decided to put an LED in the holes, and it lit up!

Supplies

A Battery Pack that can hold 2 AAA batteries that are 1.5V and has a built-in switch.

2 AAA Batteries (1.5V)

A 3V LED (Green, Blue, or White)

Inserting Batteries

Put your 1.5V batteries in the battery pack. Then close the lid. Make sure they are inserted correctly or it will not work.

Inserting LED

Make sure the LED is connected correctly and make sure it's not a 2V LED or it will pop! It should be a 3V LED. There are 2 holes leading to each wire

Connect the longer leg to the red wire hole and the short one into the black wire hole.
