Meet the Beach Bag
This is a crocheted Beach Bag. It is very easy to learn. Even if it's your first time. When you get the hang of it, it shouldn't take that long to make.
Supplies
Crochet hook 5.0mm
yarn - a whole of skein (or 2 whole skeins if you want different colors)
Starting the Strands
Tie the end of the yarn to the hook. Wrap the yarn around the hook, wrapping the yarn towards you.
Crochet a Braid
Pull the bottom string over the hook. Repeat until you have the length you want.
More Steps
Skip six and go to the sixth loop. Loop and wrap the yarn and make up braid and repeat.
Making the Square Pattern
Repeat and go back the other direction, and then repeat until you have the as many rows as you want.
Making the First Side
When you have the length that want, tie the end and cut the extra piece off. Do this to the second side of the bag.
Attach Front and Back
Attach the front and back by laying them together. Double up the yarn so it's stronger. Crochet the 2 sides + bottom together.
The Handle
Repeat the first step, but double the yarn up so it is stronger. And then connect to the bag by using the yarn to sew it on.
Reflection
I had never crocheted anything before I made this craft. I found it pretty easy to learn and enjoyed making it. I would like to make this again but make it much bigger to hold more things.
