One Cylinder Air Piston
I recently bought a Bambu 3D printer and i knew a place that allowed me to use their CNC machine and i decided to build this little one cylinder piston which uses an air compressor which you stick to the valve of the cylinder to make it spin( only the valve "cover" is 3D printed the rest was CNCed). It was a really good project for actually creating something functional and has some real world application.
FYI- YOU DO NOT NEED A CNC MACHINE TO PRINT THIS PISTON, IT IS OPTIONAL AND OF COURSE HAS BETTER EFFICIENCY THAN PLASTIC.
Supplies
3D Printer
Alan wrenches (Hexagonal)
Metric screws (3-4 mm)
Washers
Wheel thrust and Radial bushing
piston block bushing
piston shoulder screw
Air compressor/some sort of pressurized airway hose
Compressor valve
lubricant
Optional: CNC machine
Here is a quick illustration on assembling the piston
I am terrible with giving exact measurements so i setup some stl files and you can 3D print these parts to measure them by hand if you ever want to get them on a CNC machine
