Origami Angel Wings!
I was going through a few ideas for constructing an Eiffel Tower, and voila! Out came an idea to create a frilled pair of Angel Wings using Paper!
This is very easy to make provided you have white paper. I did not have white paper and managed to create this using brown paper for which I had just the size for this project.
I am no Angel, but I created this Wings so that kids can easily fly into space and fetch us the Moon! I know it does not makes sense but a story is necessary.
Supplies
- A cardboard rod for support.
- 3 large square sheets of paper, and some extra paper to connect them together. - I have used 70cm of paper size.
- A long scale - preferably a metallic scale to fold the project.
Stick Together the Three Sheets in an L-shape
- Similar to a square with a missing piece, stick together the 3 pieces in an L-Shape.
- I have used a 75cm square piece multiplied by 3.
Create a Small Prototype Using Origami
I have used a square piece of paper and folded all the diagonals to form a prototype, this is what the final piece would look like.
Fold Each Square Diagonally.
After they are joined, create diagonal folded lines starting from the central corner.
After each fold is created, re-fold the piece using On-Off Folding.
On-Off Folding means, fold towards one side, then towards anther side.
Compress at the Center Point
Identify the central point, compress at this point, the two halves so formed are the wings. Attach a cardboard or a PVC rod right in the center and tie a rope around it, extend the rope to create two shoulder hangers - which constitute the hanging part.
Hang Back and Relax...
Here are a few snaps of Angel Wings with Angel Face.
Don't I look like an Angel?
Yes! Nooooo... :(:(:(:(:(
PS: Probably the wings should have been white in color.
