Origami Happiness Bowl

Hello everyone, I'm an origami artist whose passion for paper folding runs in the blood. As a child, I often watched my grandmother conjure delicate paper figures with just a few deft folds and snips of her scissors. Those cherished childhood memories eventually drew me back to this art, and I've now devoted years to mastering it.
I'm constantly exploring new creative dimensions through origami – to me, this craft is essentially a journey of discovery. Surprisingly, it even sparked my love for mathematics along the way.
Supplies
I just used ordinary kraft paper.
Select the Model

Select the model to be folded (taking the Tongzhi Shou character patterned bowl as an example)
Draw an Outline

Use CAD software to draw, and the first step in the design process is to draw the shape of the origami bowl. I used to often use grid diagrams for drawing, so drawing the outline of a bowl on the grid is more accurate, and the length of straight or curved lines will be accurately calculated, and the crease drawings of mountain and valley lines will be enlarged according to the actual scale.
Draw a Crease Diagram

After a series of calculations, complete the sketch and use drawing software or manual coloring.
Folding

Fold the mountain and valley lines in sequence according to the crease diagram.
Shaping

Preliminary shaping, due to the inherent tension of the paper, use a small amount of glue to bond and shape a small area.
Reshaping

Fold all the creases around the bottom of the bowl and reshape it again.
Complete!

Complete! This blue-and-white porcelain-inspired piece represents my original design, drafted after years of research. Its precise form demands meticulous calculations with near-zero margin of error. Delicate and charming, it features classic Chinese blue-and-white patterns, embodying a distinct cultural fusion. Currently, this work is on display.
