The paint chips in this creation are from automotive spray booths. They pile up over the years and harden. It's referred to as Fordite. These came from Carl Jacobson's shop, a woodworker who makes amazing creations on YouTube.

It occurred to me that one of the really neat things you could do with wood was to steam it and bend it. Could you do the same thing to resin? I wasn't sure I'd seen anyone do that yet...

So I figured I would give it a go.

The cast was pretty simple, but after it dried I wanted to attempt to bend it to a form. I accomplished this with a heat gun and about 5 minutes. After it cooled, I simply shaped it on the band saw, refined that shape on the sander and polished the whole thing to a high polish.

The barrette clip was added with a dab of hot glue and it was done!
