Setting the Scene

To set the scene of a snowy place first stretch out a cube from basic shapes into the size of the workspace with a white color. Then from the structures and scenery tab take the mountain model and move/rotate to form a mountain rage.

First cone dimensions:

Base Radius - 16

Cone Height - 20

The second cone:

Base Radius - 14

Cone Height - 20

The third cone:

Base Radius - 12

Cone Height - 20

The fourth cone:

Base Radius - 10

Cone Height - 15

Instructions:

From the basic shapes tab drag a cone into the workspace area and set the dimensions to first cone. Next, duplicate the cone and offset the height by 15 and make the dimensions to cone 2. For the third cone match the dimensions above and set the distance between cone 2 and 3 to 15 units. For the last cone set the dimensions to cone 4 and make the distance in between 3 and 4 to 15 units. Select the four cones and hit control + g to group the leaves with the color set to dark green.

From the basic shapes tab take a cylinder and set both the length and width to 8 units and the height to 14 units. Now for attaching the leaves to the trunk first set the grouped-together leaves to a height of 15. Afterward, line up the trunk of the tree to the leaves of the tree. When the leaves and trunk and grouped together the groups parts will make it one color to fix that click the color tab and hit the multicolor button.

Designing the Cabin Base

Cabin width:

Short log length - 39

Long log length - 55

Cabin length:

Short log length - 54

Long log length - 70

For a smaller cabin, Set the size of the outline box to a size of L - 50, W - 35, and H - 20. To make it look more like a cabin rotate the cylinder to be flat with the side values set to the lowest. I lined up the log with a of W - 4.78 and H - 4.89 stacking up 5 of the cylinders then set the lengths of the logs to be every other.

Making the Cabin Roof

GroupedRof.jpg

To start the roof stack 4 of the logs with a length of 45 units. Then flip 2 wedges and press H to make them holes. then place the wedges to make the stacked logs into a triangle, when they are lined up group all the parts. Next put a roof part and line up with the tip of the cabin (you may have you change the grid snap). Then stretch out the roof to be a bit bigger than the triangle logs W - 49, H - 20 for a bit of overhang. To stop the clipping of the roof duplicate the roof then scale it down to fit the size of the stacked logs W - 44, H - 17.50, and set it to hole. For the roof to cover the whole cabin scale the roof and hole to fit the length of the cabin and group the 2 parts.

Finishing the Cabin

Holecube.jpg
Window.jpg
FinishedWindow.jpg

To make the door of the cabin first make a cube set as a hole with W - 8, H - 13. Group the logs that the cube touch with the cube to make the hollowed doorframe. Then bring in another cube to make a door L - 1, W - 8, H - 13. Finishing up the door make a cylinder of L - 0.50, W - 0.75, H - 0.75 and attach it to the door. To make windows Add another cube hole to make another frame then put a blue cube L - 1, W - 9, H - 12 with a cross to make a window.

Finishing Touches

To finish up the scene duplicate the tree to make it into a forest
