Quickly Cool a Beer on a Hot Day

It was a hot day. I was doing important stuff in my garage and I wanted a cold beer. Sadly, I had not put a six-pack in the frig. But then I remembered science.

A beer

A quart of ice

Salt

A gallon plastic bag or suitable container that will hold the ice, beer and salt.

Place a beer in a bag and cover with ice.

sprinkle two palms of salt over the ice and beer.

It will cool to below 32 degrees-- below freezing.

Let the beer and ice sit for a short five minutes and it will cool to a refreshing temperature
