Replacing a Pot Cover Handle in 5 Minutes!
My pot of ten years! The handle for the cover came off. So sad! How will I hold the cover now when I cook with it? Here is how I fixed it in less than 5 minutes!
The Cover and Handle.
The threading in the thermoplastic cover got broken and this is why the handle came off.
The Replacement!
A stainless steel bolt with 2 nuts and 2 washers. Also a length of silicone hose I had left over from upgrading the vacuum hoses in my car.
Putting It Together.
I slid the silicone hose over the bolt then tightened on a nut.
Now to the Cover.
I put a washer on then put the bolt through the hole in the cover. Next I put the final washer then nut. Finger tightened and here is the new handle! The silicone hose will keep my Fingers safe from the heat.
Completion!
Ah ha! Pot fired up and my chicken stew is on! I hope you have found this instructable useful!
