Rifle Stabilizer (Bi-Pod)

Tired being in the Lab-Office, I moved outdoor. Yes, exercised with my rifle, but then I found my left hand (holding the fore-stock) was trembling. Not that much, but it made me miss my target. Then I looked around searching for something that could replace my left hand. Seeing two pieces of wood-stick from pallet reminded me about tripod, which I was once wanted to buy a DSLR camera tripod for my rifle.

Well, bi-pod for sniper rifle is cool and can be attached to the fore-stock, but I don't want to lay down on the dusty ground in my warehouse like a sniper. I sometimes shoot the pest rats, which torn our bags of rice, so I squat. Mostly cans, considered as sport to me (that is pumping my rifle) :D then I make this squat-level rifle stabilizer, which can be upgraded to stand-level rifle stabilizer.

Parts:

• Two pieces of wood-stick from pallet, around 3 feet in length or according to your shoulder height either squatting or standing.
• A piece of rope around 2 feet.
• A piece of bolt with double nuts. The length depends on the thickness of your pallet, 1.5" in my case.

Additional parts:

• Add another two shorter pieces if you want to make the expansion to stand-level.
• And also two small hinges.

Tools:

• A drill and a bit according to the size of the bolt you are going to use.

The reason I made a squat-level only :

• I couldn't find hinges handy in my warehouse.
• I have another pallet wood but I was too lazy to split it to the size of the wood-stick I was going to use.

Measure your shoulder level to determine the wood-sticks crossing point. You can make it higher or lower according to your shooting comfort. Drill through both sticks at that point, then put the bolt in. Do not fasten the nut too tight on the stick because that is our moving pivot. That's why we need two nuts. Fasten the second nut to the first nut, this time make it tight.

Drill another holes near the other ends of sticks. This is where we put the rope through to limit the opening range.

• Put the rope through the holes.
• Make a knot at one end.
• Define the maximum opening of the sticks.
• Make a knot at the other end.

Done ... ^_^

Well, this is my shooting range. I put my rifle stabilizer on top of my swing chair for testing. No more trembling. Feels like a sniper. Hold your breath ... Bang! ▄︻̷̿┻̿═━━
