The PT is a four-layer mixed-signal board (handling both analog and digital signals) designed for acquiring signals from sensors positioned on the car. Most of the sensors are purely analog, and their values are read by the microcontroller through analog-to-digital conversion (ADC). However, there are exceptions with digital signals, each of which must be read uniquely. The specifics of each sensor will be discussed individually in the following section.

CPU and Memory:

  1. ARM Cortex-M4 32 bits processor, up to 170MHz
  2. 96 KB SRAM
  3. 512 KB ROM

Connectivity:

  1. 4 x SPI
  2. 4 x I2C
  3. 6 x UxART
  4. 3 x CAN-FD

Timers:

  1. 5 x 16-bit Timers
  2. 2 x 32 bit Timers

Analog:

  1. 5 x 12-bit ADC Channels
  2. 7 x DAC
  3. 6 x OP-AMP
  4. 7 x Comparators

Now that we have the PCB design ready, it’s time to order the PCBs. To do this, just go to JLCPCB and click on the “QUOTE NOW” button, which you can find by following this link. JLCPCB, a sponsor of this project, is the largest PCB prototype enterprise in China and a high-tech manufacturer specializing in quick PCB prototypes and small-batch production.

You can order a minimum of 5 PCBs for just $2 by clicking the link. To get your PCBs manufactured, simply upload the Gerber file you downloaded in the previous step. You can either upload the .zip file directly or drag and drop the Gerber files. Once the upload is complete, you’ll see a success message at the bottom of the page. You can also review your PCB using the Gerber viewer, available through this link, to ensure everything looks correct.

The viewer allows you to check both the top and bottom layers of the PCB. After confirming that everything is in order, you can place your order at a very reasonable price. While you can order 5 PCBs for just $2. To finalize your order, click on the “SAVE TO CART” button.
