Self Healing Home
I created this healing home to be more than just a home, it is a place where people can feel safe, inspired, and supported while going through difficult times. Whether someone is recovering from an illness, dealing with stress, or working through personal challenges, this home provides a peaceful environment where they can focus on healing and personal growth.
One of the most important features of the home is its large windows and open spaces. These allow natural light to fill the rooms, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Being surrounded by sunlight and views of nature can help people feel calmer, happier, and more connected to the world around them.
The design combines different architectural styles. It uses modern architecture through its clean lines, simple shapes, and large glass walls. It also includes hints of contemporary architecture , especially in the upper floor that extends over the lower level. This creates a unique look and gives the home an open, airy feeling. Finally, the home was inspired from minimalist architecture because it focuses on simplicity and avoids unnecessary details, helping create a peaceful and relaxing environment.
The purpose of this healing home is to remind people that healing takes time and that they deserve a space where they can rest, reflect, and find inspiration. The open design encourages creativity and positive thinking, while the calming atmosphere helps reduce stress and promote well-being. By combining modern design with a comforting environment, this home serves as a place where people can rebuild their strength, discover new inspiration, and move forward with hope for the future.

Designing
I was inspired from modern architecture and wanted to encourage it in my home while also having a balcony. This design has lots of sunlit areas perfect for putting a desk in. It also has many areas to decorate with greens. I wanted this design to be in California as an airbnb so it is rent able for short periods of time. People might use it as a get away home for when everything feels too much. First I wanted to make this out of card stock paper and Glue but I felt that it looked too messy so I decided to 3d print it. I also planned it out on Tinker-cad before hand so I could make changes to it.
