The Pencil Stander
I will make a pencil holder because it helps keep my desk organized and allows me to be creative by designing it in my own way.
Supplies
Colored paper or origami set
Ruler
Pencil
Scissors
Glue
Steps to Make It
- Draw and cut 6 squares 20x20 cm from paper. Fold the first square in half, press the vertical fold line. Unfold again into a large square, bend each half to the center. After unfolding into a large square, you will get four equal vertical sections.
Steps to Make It
- Each corner of the large square is bent inward to the width of the vertical section (5 cm). Then the two outside sections on the right and left are folded to the center line. All folds are pressed. Turn the paper over with the back side up. Create a horizontal fold line in the center.
Steps to Make It
- Unfold in the "back side up" position. The upper and lower edges must be pulled to the center and pressed. In the middle we will see a rhombus. Next, we need to take and insert the upper corners of the element into the pocket formed by the lower corners. You will get a three-dimensional module with a triangle in the cut. We will need six of these. The sides with rhombuses will be the front sides of the future stand.
Steps to Make It
- Six modules are glued together sequentially with glue, pressing the edges with your fingers for a long time for reliable bonding. You can use clothespins to fix the glued elements to save time.
Steps to Make It
- You can supplement the finished pencil stand with a strong cardboard hexagon, which will be placed at the bottom of the structure for strength. But light pencils will hold in the stand even just like that.
Steps to Make It
- Happy creativity!
