Sirke Wala Pyaaz | How to Make Pickled Onions in Vinegar | Restaurant Style Onions

Learn how to quickly make instant pickled red onions. It takes no time to prepare restaurant style skirke wala pyaaz. This Sirke wali pyaz tastes too good and goes best with North Indian food.

Ingredients:
Onions - 0.5 kgs

Beetroot - 2-3 small slices

Powdered Sugar - 1 tsp

Cinnamon stick - 1 pcs

Cloves - 1-2 pcs

Vinegar - 1.5 cup water

Method

1. Peel the onions and slit in cross wise direction.

2. In a pan add 1.5 cups of water and add beetroot, cloves, cinnamon stick and powdered sugar. Boil this water for few minutes. Cool down the mixture completely.

3. In a glass bowl, take onions and mix beetroot flavoured water along with 1.5 cups of vinegar. Keep the onions soaked in this water vinegar mixture for few hours at room temperature.

4. Nicely flavoured reddish pink coloured pickled onions will be ready.

5. Store in airtight container in refrigerator.
