Small Kids PVC Bow

this is a small, fast-to-make kids PVC bow

Supplies

What you will need-

  • 1/2 pvc pipe
  • scissors
  • paracord
  • drill
  • screw
  • hacksaw (or anything to cut the pvc)
  • A dowel rod (or arrow if you have one)
  • duck tape (only if you don't have an arrow)

Cutting the Stave to Correct Length

the piece of pvc I had on hand was to long so I cut it with the hacksaw to the length above.

Cutting the Notches

next, I cut notches on both sides of the pipe with a hacksaw .

Tying the Knots

Paracord Bowstring Knot: The Bowline Knot

with a paracord strand about 5 feet, you will tie the paracord to on notch with the knot shown above.

Getting the Bow String Done

you will bend the bow to you wanted arch and mark where you need to tie the second knot and then take bow string off both sides and tie your second knot.

Stringing the Bow

slip one of the knots on to the notches on your pvc and then bend it under you leg to slip on the other side of the paracord onto the other side of the bow.

once you are done with the previous step you should have something like this. trim off the extra paracord.

Making the Arrow Rest

drill a screw half way in on left side of the bow in the center (or right side if you are left handed).

Making the Fletching for Your Arrow

once you apply the duck tape (as shown above) and then cut the fletching to correct shape.

Done!
