Electricity plays a major role in our daily lives, but many people are unaware of how much power they consume and how electricity bills are calculated. The Smart Electricity Bill System is designed to automatically monitor electricity usage and calculate the estimated bill based on the units consumed. This project helps users track their power consumption in an easy and efficient way.

The system uses programming and smart automation concepts to display electricity usage and bill details in real time. It can also provide warning indications, such as LED alerts or messages, when electricity consumption exceeds a certain limit. This helps users reduce unnecessary power usage and promotes energy conservation.

Understanding the Smart Electricity Bill System

The Smart Electricity Bill System is designed to calculate electricity bills automatically based on power consumption. It helps users monitor the number of units consumed and estimate the electricity bill in real time. The system can also provide warning indications when electricity usage exceeds a specific limit.

This project uses programming and automation concepts to make electricity monitoring simple and efficient. It is useful for learning about energy management, smart systems, and electricity conservation.

Setting Up the Components

connect the required components such as the Quarky board, LEDs, resistors, and optional sensors using jumper wires and a breadboard. Make sure all connections are properly secured before powering the system.

After connecting the components, connect the board to the computer using a USB cable. Open PictoBlox, Arduino IDE, or Python software to prepare the coding environment for the project.

Writing and Uploading the Code

In this step, write the program to calculate electricity usage and generate the estimated bill based on the units consumed. The code can also include conditions to activate an LED or buzzer alert when the electricity usage exceeds a certain limit.

After writing the code, upload it to the Quarky board using PictoBlox or Arduino IDE. Once the upload is complete, the system will start monitoring and displaying the electricity bill details.

The Smart Electricity Bill System successfully calculates electricity usage and generates the estimated bill automatically. The system also provides warning indications when power consumption exceeds the set limit, helping users monitor and reduce electricity wastage.

This project demonstrates the use of programming, automation, and smart monitoring concepts in a practical real-world application. It is an effective STEM project for learning about electricity management and energy conservation.

Testing the Smart Electricity Bill System

After uploading the code, run the system and test its functionality. Check whether the electricity units and bill amount are displayed correctly. Increase the unit values to verify if the warning indication, such as LED glow
