The saddest part of snowman building is the melting part. You know when a snowman is almost completely melted and only a small bit of snow remains? It looks kinda like a snowman poop. Well, for a prank the kids and I decided to 3D print real snowman poop in the form of 3 little snowballs to leave under a snowman to be discovered only after the snowman is all gone!
Try it out! :)
Designing in TinkerCAD

Designing something like snowman poop in TinkerCAD is super easy. I recorded a short video walking through the few simple steps:
- Creating the 3 snowballs
- Aligning the 3 snowballs to the right sizes
- Creating and sizing the base for the snowballs
- Adding the words to the underside (flipped over)
Try making it from scratch yourself or view and copy my completed design in TinkerCAD here: TinkerCAD Snowman Poop Prank
NOTE: When designing and printing spheres it is always a good idea to add a base, otherwise the bottom-most part of the sphere will be at too great an angle to print without supports.
Slicing With PrusaSlicer

Export the TinkerCAD design to .STL, then open with your favorite slicer software. I used PrusaSlicer and for the print settings set the layer height to .16mm and an infill of 25%.

Deploying Under a Snowman

With the completed snowman poop, wait till the next snowfall, then secretly slip the snowman poop underneath the base of a snowman. Just dig a small hole right next to the bottom ball of the snowman and slip it under close to the ground, then cover it back up with snow.

Once the snowman melts away the owner will discover the snowman droppings!
