I made a sock monkey so that my little sister could make one too when shes bored.

Supplies

The sock monkey is made of one pair of long socks (additional socks or fabric if you want different colors), thread, buttons and stuffing. The tools I used to put them all together were needles, sewing scissors, thread scissors and some pins.

To prep cut your socks the way theyre supposed to be, like this.

The first step is to lay down the sock flat and cut through the middle until you reach about an inch before the heel of the sock, those will be your legs. Then sow the pieces so that the cuts will close up but not all the way so that we can add stuffing to it. You can also cut the length of the legs to your liking. Once you have as much stuffing as you like in it, sew it closed.

Now that the body is done the next step is to add the smaller body parts of the monkey. Cut the smaller parts of the body from the other sock. (I used another sock for more color, this is optional)

Sew the tail and both arms together and fill with stuffing before sewing all the way.

Sew the arms to be attached to the sides of the monkey and the tail just on top of the butt (the heel of the sock)

To add the mouth you will need to add stuffing before sewing so that it will stay up and use pins to hold it in place.

sew the ears to the sides of the head and before fully sewing them add a little stuffing.

Finally, add buttons for eyes and add whatever other decor youd like to add on to it and youve made a sock monkey.
