Super Easy DIY Bench | Made From 100% Free Pallets!
I built a custom patio bench using ONLY free pallets—no expensive lumber, just creativity, basic tools, and reclaimed wood! I’ll show the full DIY process: breaking down pallets, customizing the design, and turning scrap wood into a sturdy, stylish outdoor bench perfect for any patio, garden, or backyard. This is a great budget-friendly woodworking project and proof that free materials can still look amazing.

Supplies
- Take 1 free pallet for the bench base.
- If you need extra material for the legs, use another pallet.
- Assemble as shown in the steps below.
Cut Pallet in Half
Cut one of the pallet in half using a skill saw.
Back Board
Cut the backboard at a 10° angle for the backrest slope.
Attach each backboard to the support boards on the bench base using nails.
Legs
Use pieces from a second pallet to construct the legs.
Reinforce the legs with a scrap board for extra stability.
Paint
Give a good coating of outdoor paint of your choice to make the bench last longer in the elements.
Done
Add some pillows and cushions and your done!
