Swiss Army Knife Case

I'm looking to get into leatherworking, but to do that I need to learn how to sew. This project allowed me to practise my backstitch in some thicker material: leatherette!
Cut the Material

I cut out my material to the rough sizes that I wanted. I cut two rectangles of the same shape, leaving them about 1cm wider than the edge of the knife.
The Backstitch

The entire seam on this piece is a backstitch. This involves pushing the thread in, then up a specified distance. After that, thread the needle back through the whole you just created. Finally, advance double the distance, beginning a new hole, and then repeat the process all the way around.
Inside Out

Turn the leatherette inside out, to reveal the colour and texture.
Done!

With that, I have a nice little case for my Swiss Army Knife. I'm very happy with how it turned out and it was great practise!
Thank you for reading, and I hope you enjoyed!
