Ever wondered what’s going on inside a SRAM AXS battery charger? I did too—so I cracked one open to find out.

I originally planned for this teardown to be nondestructive… let’s just say I'm out 55 bucks.

One thing I noticed was the labeling of the battery connectors (pogo pins).

The top being positive.

The bottom negative.

And the right being "T" likely used for battery identification, thermistor, or communication

The last photo shows the battery pinout.

The first image shows the screw hidden under the product information sticker by the sneaky Sram engineers.

The second image shows the other side off the bottom side of the charger.

Fixing It

To build the charger you need 4x M2x6 bolts and either M2 heat set inserts or changing the size of the hole and screwing it in directly. Print the pieces in the orientation shown so that the hinge that clips onto the battery is strong. This is not the best design because it is not water proof, covers the indicator lights, and isn't the best fit for the circuit board but its definitely good enough if you broke your charger like me.
