After modding the cooling arrangement on my off grid inverter, I wanted to check that the new fan was doing its job. The inverter case is kept warm, not hot, when my air conditioner is on. This is a good sign.
The thermal image shows hot spots where the power semiconductors are located.
The seek thermal xr camera was used for this inspection.

The DC brushless fan draws air through the inverter and then exhausts it. The hot spot temperature is 97C which is pretty high but I have a ready supply of spares when it fails.
