Tutorial Project

I will use Photoshop, and images from google to create a realistic and professional image, but also creating a tutorial using screenshots and explanations.
"The tutorial should include at least 6 different steps. Each step should be an important part of your final design. Opening the Program DOES NOT count as a step. What you choose to design is up to you, remember that there are tons of options for bitmap editors. As we talked about in class, you can use it for advertisements, colorizing an image, editing photos, etc."

- My design will be a combination of these 2 photos, I will mask out and combine them, to make a heroic and professional photo.
- I will replace the basic sky in the lion photo with the beautiful sunset
- I will combine both photos
- add shading
- will add filters and color balance
- add grass and details to the background
- add extra shading, lighting, contrast, and color balance
- Masking

For the first step of thee project, you should mask out the basic sky of the original photo by using the lasso tool, in preparation to add the sunset, I also blurred some of the background, using the blur tool.
- Adding the Sunset

Start by masking out the sunset using the lasso, and adding it to the lion photo, by dragging it to the lion picture. I had to remove some of the trees in the background and grass with the eraser.
- Photo Editing and Filters

Add some shading, lighting, and color balance to both the lion, ground, and sunset. I used the effects adding tab to do this. I added more darkness on the left side of the sunset with the burn tool, and some lighting on the lions head with the dodge tool, where he would be facing the sun.
- Background Additions

To make the background look more realistic, add a grass png to the image. it doesn't look correct right now but we will add hue and saturation later.
- Background Corrections

Now add hue and saturation to the ground and grass with the effects tab, making it look realistic, but not stand out as much, and blend well with the sky. Now it is starting to look more like a finished product.
- Final Touches

For this final step add shading, filters, and add some color balance to each layer, to make it look a little bit better and realistic. use the dodge and burn tool, use the effects tab, use the blend and blur tool, and use the spot healing brush, to add any final touches necessary.
