Utility Pouch Using Old CD
Compact disc (CD) is a digital optical disc data storage format released in 1982 and co-developed by Philips and Sony. The format was originally developed to store and play only sound recordings but was later adapted for storage of data (CD-ROM).
This may be the things about CD everyone would be knowing. But what most of you don't know is that it can be transformed into a variety of amazing stuff. One such thing is the multipurpose mini utility pouch and that's exactly what I'm gonna show you in this Instructable. So let's get started.
The Inventory
These are the things you have to find in your inventory to make this pouch :
- Old CD
- Chart Papers
- Scissors
- Pencil
- Glue
Cut Out Circles
Now the first thing to do is draw circles on chart papers using the CD as reference. Now keep the CD aside and cut out the 3 circles carefully along the reference lines drawn.
Cover the CD
Now using two of the three circular sheets, cover the CD on both the sides.
Use glue to properly attach the on to the CD. After attaching the paper on both sides, you should have something that looks like what's there in the picture.
If you don't want to use paper, you can always use some cloth for this purpose as they're more durable.
The Pouch
For the pouch, cut out a semicircle from the other remaining circle. The circle may be a little bit more bigger than exact half.
Now apply glue along only the curved edge and stick the semi circle on it. Press it a little inward from the sides so that there is an opening formed at the center.
You can decorate the pouch with the help of a marker.
Hang It
The pouch is almost done right now. All you have to do is attach a thread on the backside as shown in the picture to hang it on the wall.
You can attach many such pouches one after the other and make a bigger wall hanging.
