BOOOSH the Bush That Watches You
I am all about Halloween and looking for new entertaining ways to give people a little fright, laugh or generally creep them out and there is nothing creepier than the feeling of being watched.
This year I discovered a really cheap but effective way to keep an eye on my neighbours.
So please enjoy this simple Instructable to create BOOOSH the bush that watches you, also works for other bush and tree related items.
Supplies
To create and build Boosh, I used;
- x2 XL google eyes picked up from a £1 shop, also available at any hobby craft or even Amazon.
- Gorilla Glue
- Some old spare plumbing pipe
- A Saw
- A Hammer
Adding the Pipes/Stalks to the Eyes
I added the pipes for a number of reasons;
- To avoid using any tape or string that any wildlife could get caught in.
- To make use the connections were weather and water proof and reusable for next year!
- And finally to easily slot them between the bushes branches so they do not blow away while also giving them some support to stay in the correct position.
You can either join eyes together like I did or your can add one pole for each eye to place independently.
I chose to join them as this best fitted the bush I was going to put them in.
I began by unpacking the eyes, and cutting a piece of pipe about 60cms long. Next I bent the pipe using my hands into a handle bar shape so I could loop the bar around a branch to keep it in place.
Then i used the hammer to flatten out the ends of the "handlebars" to create a better surface to glue the eyes to, once complete I added glue to the flattened pipe added the eyes and then left them to dry.
Add Them to the Bush or Hedge
To add them, I just deceived where is the correct height and gently found a sturdy branch to loop them over and Hay presto, you have a set of eyes in a hedge or bush that looks at passers by.
You could also use some paint or card to stick eyelits on them to give them more of a scowl or glare.
Finished
Anyway, here is the finished result in both day and night. I am very proud of it.
I hope you all have a lovely Halloween and like the idea,
