Water Slide DIY
Hey guys today i'm showing you how to build an easy quick water slide, so you don't have to go and buy some ripoff slide that will go in the trash at the end of summer. This is cheap easy and lots of fun. For a lot of people i know you probably don't have a hill behind your house but this will work on any kind of incline or slope perfectly.
What You Need
You will need:
2 big tarps
rake
wood or metal stakes
shower sprinkler
something to slide on
spray nozzle
soap (optional)
a steep hill
big log, not a round one because that will roll down the hill
Step 1:
so your going to want to find a steep hill, try to find one without a lot of rocks, and take the rake and clear out any sticks, rocks, leaves everything even the slightest rock can cause problems if they are huge rocks and there going downhill with the slide go head and leave them and try it, if it doesn't work take them out.
Step 2: Staking
Take one of the big tarps and two stakes(i used an old pair of drumsticks i found)nm and bring them to the top of the hill. pull the tarp tight so theirs no wrinkles and stake the top 2 corners down. now take the bigger tarp and take to the end of that tarp and put it about half a foot up underneath the top tarp. pull it tight stake it down. now go to the bottom of the bottom tarp and on the very edge stake down the corners or put really big rocks on the corners which is what i did.
Step 3: Water System
Now go to the top of the top tarp. take the big log and stake and put the stake into the ground right in the middle put the log right behind it but not on it. now take the shower sprinkler put it on the stake, hook up the hoses, grab something to slide on like a boogie board like i had or something like that and enjoy. people in a drought look at next page.
Step 4: Water Saving System
For those people who live in California or in a place where their in drought is, here is a simple little way to save water, but still have a good water sport during summer take a water sprayer or something like the picture above and hook it up between two hoses or directly to the spigot. have someone at the top of the slide turning on enough water for you to go down but then turn it off so you don't waste any. Also what i used is soap or those little cheap bottles, that you can get anywhere for really cheap, of bubbles they actually make you go faster than water. well that's all hope you enjoy.
