Place the upper half of the head on another piece of cardboard

Place on top of it, the six little pieces of paper (those will be the horns) and use the stucture to draw the dinosaur's crest

Do the same with the lower part of the head, to draw the dinosaur's lappets (one for each side)

Cut out the crests (2) and the lappets (2) from the cardboard

Glue Together

Take one of the triangles and using the glue gun, glue it to the edge of the upper part of the head

Pay attention to maintain the head's stucture

Glue the other, identical part of the head to the other side of the triangle

Do the same for the lower part of the head, using the other triangle

Unite Upper and Lower Part

Use a piece of the cardboard and the glue gun to connect the upper and lower part of the head

You can also use tape over it to make the connection safer

Now the dinosaur's head is ready

Position the Crest ,Lappets ,horns

Glue together the 2 pieces of crests into one

Position the crest in the middle of the upper part of the head and glue it

Glue each one of the 2 lappets in the down right edge of the lower head piece of each side

Glue the horns on both sides of the crest

Glue the horns in both lappets

Constuct the Eyes

Use a piece of white clay to make the eyes

Let them dry

Glue them one on each side

Make the eye lids out of foil and use the glue gun to glue the sctructure around each eye.

The foil is ligher than clay so we can use just a thin layer of clay around the foil so it's not too heavy and it can remain in place.

The clay gets stuck over the foil without the need of glue.

Use the same techique to make the horns of the crest protrude, make the stucture out of foil, glue the foil on to the crest and cover it with a thin layer of clay

Let everything dry

Start Painting

First use white acrylic colour to paint everything white

Let it dry for a few minutes

Continue painting your dino any colour you like

Mine is a sea dinosaur so I'll use mostly blue

Make the Teeth and the Tongue

Use red acrylic colour to paint the inner of the mouth

Cut out a little piece of paper, to make the tongue, paint it red and glue it in place

Put the open mouth of the dino over a piece of paper and use it as a guide to draw the teeth

Copy the teeth so you have two pairs

(I usually put one paper over the drawing against a glass door when outside is sunny so I can copy the pattern easily with my pencil)

Cut out every single tooth and glue them in place, one by one.
