Wire Giacometti's Sculptures

      Hi everybody!
I want to show you how to make simple wire sculptures getting inspirated in Giacometti's art.
His sculptures are famous for their disproportionated sizes and also because they are very thin. After knowing more about his live and appreciating his art my pupil had to imitate his sculptures.

Pliers
Acrylic painting
Rule

Cut the Wire

Cut the 1,60 m of wire using the pilers into three parts:

-Legs: 80 cm
Fold the Wire-Head and Body

Use the pilers and your fingers to fold the wire into the form of each part.
For the head and body make a round for the head as you can see at the picture.
Fold the Wire-Legs

Fold the wire into de middle so you have two legs.
Join the Body With the Legs

Fold the last part of the body joining the wire with the legs. This is one of the more difficult part so you will need a lot of patience.

Cut the plaster bandage into small pieces.
