I will show you how to easily make a wooden Butterfly knife. This is also more commonly known as a balisong.

I found a template online and scaled it up. I then proceeded to cut the knife out of half and inch thick wood. This was done by using a scroll saw.
Sanding

I made sure to sand every edge with 150 grit sandpaper to make it very smooth. After this was done, I placed the parts to see how they would look
Test Fit

After sanding, I placed tooth picks into the holes in the handle to see how it fit and worked.

Don't forget to put 2 sticks at the top and bottom. These will help make the blade stop.
Glue

I then glued the whole thing together and then sanded after it dried.
Gap Fillers

At the very butt of the handle, there will be open space. In order to fill this space, I cut 2 pieces of wood and then glue them into place. To make sure it was a tight fit, I also drilled a hole through the whole thing and then put another tooth pick.
Finally

After this, you will be all done! make sure to give it a nice sanding and please don't use this to harm people. I made my blade dull.
