Your Nana's Cassorole

This recipe is to make spaghetti casserole. For some reason a lot of people haven't heard of this before so I thought I'd kindly educate our generation. So buckle up and get ready to finally taste some good food. This recipe is so easy even your spoiled little sister could make it, so don't you start complaining. All you need is an oven, some canned food, meat, noodles and cheese. It's easy. Enjoy.

Supplies

Cassorole dish (or any pan that can go in the oven)

Large Pot

Spaghetti prongs

Frying Pan

Forks

Oven Mitts (or small towel)

Ground beef

Spaghetti Noodles

Canned Tomateos

Canned Cream of Mushroom soup

Cheese (Alot)

Onion

Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees

Boil Water

Fill up a large pot with water and get out your spaghetti, turn heat to high and boil water. The time to boil depends on your type of pasta but just cook the pasta.

Fry Beef

Get out a large pan and fry up one to two pounds of ground beef with either one quarter of one half of a chopped onion, make sure that your beef is cooked all the way through. Again the time you cook it for depends. So cook until it is a nice brown color.

Prepare the First Layer

After your beef is completly cooked get out your cassorole dish and put the beef from the frying pan into the cassorole dish and spread it along the bottom of the dish.

Strain the Pasta

Get out a pasta strainer and strain the pasta over the sink and then bring the strained pasta over to the cassorole dish.

2nd Layer

Put the noodles into the cassorole dish on top of the beef layer and spread it out.

Open Your Canz

Use a can opener to open up your tomateo and cream of mushroom soup. Then empty tomateo into the dish and spread it out after that repeat the process with the cream of mushroom soup.

Cheese It

Put a thick layer of triple shredded cheese on to the cassorole dish on top of the other layers and spread it out.

Bake It

Put the cassorole into the oven and bake for 30 minutes

Take It Out

Once the timer has gone off use your oven mits to take the cassorole out of the oven and get a plate while its hot.

This casserole recipe is rather easy, but it does take up some time. I hope this recipe will become a regular in your house. During making this I learned about how important each ingredient is for this casserole, since the first time I made it I forgot the cream of mushroom soup and the casserole turned out really dry. When I shared this recipe with my class they all loved it! You could try this recipe with any type of pasta noodles and you could change out the cheese to a different type.
