instamorph or one of the many other names it has. The chemical name is polycaprolactone this might help you get it at a better price from a Dental Supply wholesale or medical place...
next a cheap cutting board and some strong magnets I got a bunch from harbor freight cheap

Melt and Wrap

melt the thermoplastic and form around the magnets trying to keep the bottom as soon as possible as it will have more holding power with a less plastic in between...now that they are both covered make one with tab to connect the arm..

Arm

next cut the arm out of the cutting board. length will vary depending on your kayak also I heated up the middle of it and put a twist to be more hydrodynamic in the water

form the instamorph into an upside down Y to fit your transducer. before it cools put the bolt through and let cool this was the harder part as this stuff is not so easy to work with..(tip) using a small torch lighter helps to heat up and smooth out with fingers later...just make sure you have water or some kinda lubricant on your fingers so as the plastic won't stick to you
